Established by Stones That Rock in 2013, Glamorous Giving Fashion & Homewares Clearance Sale began as a small sale held in a private black and white house in Ridley Park.
From the beginning, we were determined the sale would follow our established practice of working with charities designed to support women and women’s health issues. For that reason, we partnered first with the Singapore Committee for UN Women and latterly with United Women Singapore. Through the event, we have been able to promote the work of both organisations as well as contributing financially to their programs, in particular those related to STEM and HeforShe.
Since those early days, Glamorous Giving has grown to become one of Singapore’s best loved sale events.
Until 2020, the event was held bi-annually and offered more than 60 brands the opportunity to clear existing stock at knock down prices.
Glamorous Giving has always had a particularly Singaporean flavour. All participating brands are owned and operated locally so the event itself very much has a sense of community and community values.
People attend knowing they are encouraging local business while supporting a worthwhile cause.
Over the years we have been very fortunate to have the support of loyal partners and sponsors, including The Orchard Rendezvous Hotel, TravelShopa, Expat Living Magazine and TTG – Through the Grapevine Wines. We would like to extend our thanks to them for their invaluable contribution.
We remain optimistic that Glamorous Giving will be back bigger and better than ever as soon as public safety conditions allow. In the meantime, we are continuing to support participating brands via our social media platforms.
