Following international guidelines we have made it our policy to avoid the use of nickel in our jewellery.

Below are lists of just some of the rare stones and crystals used to create our pieces. As organic elements, not one will be exactly like another, ensuring your Stones That Rock creation is absolutely unique and original.

Agate

Agate is a mineral from the Quartz family. Called the Earth Rainbow, bands of Agate can form in all colours. Agate is highly regarded as a strength and stabilising influence, excellent for balancing emotional and physical energy and in harmonising yin and yang.

Amazonite

Amazonite can range in colour from dark blue to mint green. It represents truth, honour, integrity, hope and trust. Its soothing calm can provide comfort after an emotional upset.

Amethyst

Beautiful Amethyst is a meditative and calming stone. It will help heal personal loss. It can eliminate impatience and bring calm and balance to the person who wears it.

Apatite

Flecks of blues, green and yellow in Apatite are said to stimulate thoughts and ideas. It can increase intelligence, imagination and intuitive awareness. It can help you focus, concentrate and communicate more effectively.

Aquamarine

Beautiful Aquamarine named for its similarity to ocean colours, boosts courage and aids in communication. Aquamarines can heighten courage, assist in the grieving process and are a powerful aid to self-healing.

Hematite

Hematite is a mineral form of iron oxide. It helps to absorb negative energy and alleviates stress or worry. It is also used to stimulate the mind and enhance memory and creativity.

Howlite

Wonderfully porous in its composition, Howlite is often dyed blue or green to resemble turquoise. It can be used to help cure insomnia and relieve stress.

Jade

Jade is said to bless whatever it touches and has always been valued for its beauty and powers of healing. While jade is mostly associated with the colour green it can range from a white or grey-green through all spectrums of blues and pinks to deep browns or black.

Jasper

Jasper is an earth stone and is made up of earth colours. Jasper can come in shades of blue, green, red and brown and be speckled or show layers of colours, it has a grounding property and provides security and comfort.

Kyanite

Kyanite brings loyalty, honesty and tranquillity. It diminishes anger and confusion and it will align and balance. It does not retain negative energy and never needs energetic cleansing.

Labradorite

Labradorite is a beautiful iridescent stone in shades of blue and green. Legend has it that Labradorite is the stone of transformation and magic. It brings clarity and insightfulness and is used to attract success. It is also said to reduce stress and anxiety.

Lapis Lazuli

Because of its deep, celestial blue colour, Lapis Lazuli has been highly prized throughout history. It has been a symbol of royalty and is a universal symbol of wisdom and truth.

Lapis encourages honesty and communication. It is also a stone of friendship and harmony in relationships.

Lava Stone

Emerging from the core of the earth, Lava stone is known for its grounding properties. Used for calming the emotions it is also known as the stone of rebirth. Wearing Lava close to the skin can help provide peace and tranquillity.

Manmade Coral

Usually dyed red or white, manmade Coral comes from China and usually consists of jade or howlite that has been dyed to simulate coral and coral colours.

Moonstone

A particularly beautiful stone, Moonstones bring hope and enhances intuition and abundance. They are a calming stone, bringing stress relief and have always been associated with love.

Onyx

A powerfully protective stone, Onyx will absorb and transform negative energy. Black Onyx will aid in the development of emotional and physical strength especially when facing times of grief or emotional stress.

Quartz

Quartz is the most common stone on the planet and comes in a huge range of colours. Many coloured quartz crystals have their own names like Amethyst for purple Quartz. Quartz is generally acknowledged to be a power stone with each colour representing a different power quality.

Sandstone

Ranging from creamy white to rust, Sandstone represents creativity and solidarity within relationships. Wearing Sandstone can improve moods and dispel negativity.

Sodalite

Sodalite with its gentle blue tones brings logic, rationality and efficiency. It promotes truth and communication. It is a stone for honesty, intelligence, knowledge and learning.

Sunstone

Gloriously orange in colour, Sunstone is used to dispel fears and phobias. It brings qualities of leadership, can help with depression and bring good luck to its wearer.

Tiger Iron

A combination of hematite, red jasper and golden Tiger Eye, Tiger Iron is a grounding stone that brings protection from danger. Tiger Iron gives strength, vitality, confidence and willpower. It is a stone of motivation and good luck.

Turquoise

Turquoise is the symbol of friendship and brings peace to the home. It is a personal stone and takes on the characteristics of the person wearing it. Varying in shades there are subtle differences within the Turquoise family.
